I first stepped on a yoga mat in New York in 1995, while on sabbatical leave from a stressful corporate job. I felt there was something more to life than what I was doing. So I decided to continue my practice when I came back home to Manila. Since that first Hatha Yoga class, I went on to study and practice several styles of yoga including Sivananda, Iyengar, Ashtanga, Bikram, Yin and Kundalini Yoga.
For so many years, my active lifestyle (running, biking, diving, mountain climbing) and my stressful corporate career brought me various injuries including cervical slipped disc and temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ). But I found solace and healing in yoga, leading me to pursue it professionally so that I could help others heal as well. My path led me to train with yoga masters all over the world.
